Bodywork and massage are important modalities in the rehabilitation and prevention of sports injuries.

In the rehabilitation phase, it’s important to receive bodywork to increase blood flow, accelerate healing, and ensure the tissues and fibres are healing in the most efficient way for long-term success. It also allows us to tend to other muscles that may be overcompensating following injury.

WE ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT BODYWORK/MASSAGE FOR INJURY PREVENTION

If you keep your muscles and fascia supple, hydrated, and free from adhesive painful trigger points, you’re more likely to get increased performance and decreased change of soft tissue injury. Overuse injuries are common with athletes. This can be put down to poor recovery and rest protocols. Regular maintenance sessions at BMT are highly recommended if you engage in sporting, athletic, or gym-related activities.
